My name is Marcie and I am on the State Committee for New Mexico’s Junior Miss Scholarship Program. I was a participant back in good ‘old 2003, and have been volunteering with the State Program ever since.
Junior Miss is a great program that rewards high school senior girls with scholarship money. It is NOT A BEAUTY PAGEANT! It’s not geared to fake, “pagenty,” girls obsessed with their image. It’s actually geared toward the girl who works hard and is intelligent, successful, active in her community, talented, physically fit, and confident! (think Sandra Bullock in “Miss Congeniality”- smart, unique, & fun!)
